Paul Dick has announced the release of Xalan-Java 1.2.1, the most recent version of the Apache Project's XSLT processor.

The new release includes several bug fixes and feature improvements. New features include:

• Works with Xerces-Java 1.2.1
• New extension function: Tokenizer, improved error handling on extension functions

Bug fixes include:

• Improved whitespace handling. HTMLFormatter no longer inserts line breaks before font, s, strike, and nobr elements.
• Fixed bug where reset() method was not resetting the list of stylesheet parameters passed in from a Java program
• Bug fixes in global variable handling
