The Apache XML Project have released Apache SOAP 2.0, an updated version of the Java SOAP toolkit originally contributed from IBM's SOAP4J software.
This version includes the following changes:

A serializer for Vectors and Enumerations
- An array of bytes (i.e. byte[]) will now be serialized into a
SOAP-ENC:base64 type.
- Addition of source distribution
- Restructured documentatiom
- A new 'soap' webapp, which provides access to the
web-based admin client, and the rpcrouter servlet.
Apache SOAP is available for download in both source and
binary form from the Apache XML distribution web site.
