Amaya support for XHTML
22:26, 5 Jan 2000 UTC | Simon St.Laurent

Amaya 2.4, released by the W3C late last year, provides support for XHTML. Direct support for XML/CSS isn't there yet, but is planned, along with SVG support.

Amaya provides support for the proposed recommendation of XHTML, and uses namespaces to permit the mixing of XHTML with MathML. Cascading Style Sheets support now allows more complex selectors based on ancestor elements and attributes of those elements, and printing now works as well.

Other new features include changes to the user interface and performance improvements. Source code is available under the W3C Copyright Statement.
