Max Froumentin has announced that the xsl-editors@w3.org mailing list is now unmoderated and open for subscription, in order to exchange ideas about the XSLT language and its further development.

The purpose of the list is clearly differentiated from that of the xsl-list which continues to be the recommended channel in which to ask questions about the usage of XSLT:

People are invited to join the mailing list in order to exchange views on the XSLT language and its development. In order to keep traffic to a reasonable level, it is strongly discouraged to ask general questions about the use of XSLT, which pertain to xsl-list. The moderator reserves the right to unsubscribe people who will post off-topic messages.

The W3C list also seems to be specific to XSLT while the xsl-list covers all the XSL family including XSLT, XPath and XSL-FO.
