Beta release of Perl Standard API for CSS
13:26, 11 May 2001 UTC | Edd Dumbill

Robin Berjon has released CSS::SAC, a beta-quality Perl implementation of the Standard API for CSS, to CPAN.

SAC is an API for CSS stylesheets that closely follows the event model of SAX for XML. The first release of the module was an "alpha", and this beta release has been significantly cleaned up and bug fixed.

Berjon notes a few remaining bugs, mainly due to dependencies on modules beyond his control, relating to "backslash escapes and the internal representation of element and pseudo-element selectors." Berjon offered members of the www-style mailing list the fixes by private mail, until such time as the Perl module causing the bug is fixed.
