08:24, 21 Mar 2001 UTC | Edd Dumbill

The GCA have issued a call for participation in Extreme Markup Languages 2001, their highly technical markup geek conference, to be held in Montreal from August 12-17.

Extreme will contain four types of presentation: peer reviewed technical papers, late breaking news, posters, and invited keynotes. All presentations will be "new material, address some aspect of information management from a theoretical or practical standpoint, and be detailed and rigorous."

The deadline for submission of papers is March 31. Submissions should be created according to the official DTDs, and submitted to extreme@mulberrytech.com. Submissions will be peer reviewed.

The conference chairs are Steve Newcomb, B. Tommie Usdin, Debbie Lapeyre, and C. M. Sperberg-McQueen.
