New version of CSIRO SVG toolkit
23:21, 8 Aug 2000 UTC | Edd Dumbill

Dean Jackson has announced the latest version of the CSIRO SVG viewer, which now conforms to the SVG Candidate Recommendation released on 2 August.

As well as conformance to the CR, this release adds some support for declarative animation (motion and transforms), caching of DTDs, new glyph outline support, and compatibility with Apache Xerces 1.1.

The CSIRO SVG viewer is an open source class library for the Java 2 platform. It uses the SteadyState CSS engine, of which Jackson reports another update is likely to be available soon.
