Apache XML Delivery Toolkit moves forward
15:30, 27 Apr 2000 UTC | Simon St.Laurent

Matt Sergeant has set up a Web site and mailing list for the Apache XML Delivery Toolkit (AXDTK), a set of tools for delivering XML with mod_perl.

The site describes the AXDTK as:

"a suite of tools... that give developers extremely flexible options for delivering XML to all kinds of browsers, from handheld systems, Braille readers, and ordinary browsers. All this can be achieved using nothing but W3C standards, although the plugin architecture provides the hooks for developers to write their own stylesheet systems, should they so desire."

AXDTK supports caching to improve efficiency, and also provides for chaining of multiple stylesheet processors.
