Updated XML::Writer supports data-oriented formatting
15:51, 5 Apr 2000 UTC | Simon St.Laurent

David Megginson has updated his Perl module XML::Writer to support data-oriented whitespace usage within the XML documents it generates.

Saying that "Zillions of people have sent e-mail asking for a feature like this, and I'm tired of answering all of it, so here it is," Megginson delivered some optional features including (setDataMode(1), setDataIndent(2), and dataElement(name, data, atts...)).

The module is being distributed through CPAN.

Megginson has also published a set of Java classes with similar functionality.
