Stefano Mazzocchi has announced the release of version 1.7 of the Java-based XML web publishing framework Cocoon, part of the Apache XML Project.

Major changes include improvements to user documentation, and the integration of the latest version of the Xalan XSLT engine from Apache.

Cocoon 1.7 can be downloaded from the Apache XML download area.
