The Apache XML Project have released the first stable version of their XML Security project, implementing Canonical XML and XML Signature.
The code was donated to Apache late last year by the Computer Science Institute for Data Communications Systems at the University of Siegen, Germany. The binary distribution includes Java example code, tests, and Javadoc documentation. A source distribution is also available.
With the XML Security code developers can create and verify digital signatures expressed in XML, for either XML or arbitrary content.
The code can be downloaded from the XML Security distribution site.
