XML Global have announced the release of their XML database, GoXML DB 2.0, with support for the W3C's developing XQuery technology.

Features in this second commercial release of the database include:

• XQuery support
• Extensions for document insert, replace and delete
• Database security model
• Schema management (W3C XML Schema and DTD)
• Full text searching
• Automatic query optimization
• XML Spy Integration

It should be noted that XQuery is still in development stage at the W3C and not yet a stable Recommendation.
