Java
Another installment in Processing XML with Java
17:38, 12 Nov 2001 UTC | Michael Smith

For the last few months, Elliotte Rusty Harold (author of XML in a Nutshell and The XML Bible) has been releasing online installments of a work he'll eventually publish as a printed book under the title Processing XML with Java. He's just released the latest installment, a chapter on the XMLReader interface. He's previously released chapters on XML for data, XML protocols, writing XML with Java, converting flat files to XML, reading XML, and SAX.

Harold writes that the finished book will be published in Spring 2002, but he plans to continue posting new chapters online "roughly biweekly" as he completes them. He also notes that "although this is the sixth book I've written about XML, it is the first one I've written in XML" and notes that he couldn't have written it in XML without the DocBook DTD and Norm Walsh's XSL stylesheets for DocBook.
