SilverStream have released a beta of JBroker Web, which supports the emergent web services technologies SOAP and WSDL.

JBroker is an environment for building, running and invoking Web services using Java. Using SilverStream's eXtend Workbench developers can create Web services directly from a Java class or EJB. A WSDL editor, UDDI browser and local registry are also included.

Features of JBroker Web include:

  • WSDL to Java compiler, Java RMI to SOAP compiler, Java RMI to WSDL compiler
  • SOAP 1.1 support, HTTP or HTTPs transport, plugs into any J2EE compatible server
  • JDNI support for looking up web srvices
