XML Infoset reaches Candidate Recommendation
13:53, 15 May 2001 UTC | Simon St.Laurent

The W3C has published XML Infoset as a Candidate Recommendation.

The new version contains an additional section on end-of-line handling and has dropped the system identifier from the document information item. The new version adds a 'references' property to attribute information items. Processing Instructions now have an extra notation property, indicating which (if any) notation information is associated with the target.

Unexpanded general entity items now contain an additional declaration base URI property. Unparsed entity items receive both a declaration base URI property and a notation property. Notation information items also include a declaration base URI property.

The comments period (archive) ends 15 June, 2001.
