XML RAD platform commences beta test

Wizen Software have commenced a public beta-testing program for PowerXML, an XML-centric rapid application development platform.

According to Wizen, PowerXML includes the following features:

  • Built-in XML and HTML input parsers -- apply XSLT and XPath to HTML or XML.
  • XPath processing
  • DBMS to XML conversion
  • Support for multiple XSLT engines (currently MSXML, Xalan-C++ and Sablotron)
  • XSLT engine timing
  • Integration with Apache and IIS
  • Java, C/C++ and COM interfaces to application engine
  • Cross-platform server: Windows, Linux, Solaris

PowerXML allows the developer to create "complex XML-based 'pipelines'" using a GUI interface. Users wishing to enroll in the beta program should contact beta@wizen.com.
