WYSIWYG table editor for Emacs
20:14, 23 Jan 2001 UTC | Edd Dumbill

Michael Smith announced the availability of a new release of table.el, a WYSIWYG table editing library for Emacs which can now export in various XML table formats.

In particular, the XML exported is compliant with the OASIS Exchange subset of the CALS table model used in such DTDs as DocBook.

Smith also notes that the library can export HTML 3.2-compliant tables, and that support for LaTeX tables is upcoming.
