22:47, 18 Jan 2001 UTC | Edd Dumbill

Paul Kulchenko has released version 0.45 of his popular Perl SOAP module, SOAP::Lite, improving Apache SOAP interoperability and adding new features.

As well as improving Apache interoperability, the new version has added interoperability tests with Apache, Microsoft, 4S4C and Lucin SOAP implementations. New features include:

  • Attachment parsing (singlepart/multipart MIME)
  • IO server implementation (for pipes, filters, mail handlers and file processing)
  • FTP client implementation
  • Global settings, shareable between objects

Kulchenko has also updated the documentation and now has over 300 tests in the SOAP::Lite test suite.

SOAP::Lite is available either from CPAN or soaplite.com.
