Jason Diamond announced an RDF parser for the .NET platform, written in Microsoft's new C# language.

Billed as "the beginning of a comprehensive Open Source RDF Framework written in C#," Diamond's parser comes with a test suite of RDF models. Diamond expects to add classes to manipulate models and statements over the coming weeks.

Diamond's announcement has also spawned an interesting discussion on the RDF interest mailing list, centering around convergence on APIs for RDF parsers. Brickley observed:

In the light of this and other implementation activities recently announced on www-rdf-interest, I reckon the time is fast approaching that we lock various RDF API implementors in a room and only let them out when there's a common strawman API.

The reception given to Brickley's suggestion has been generally positive, although Diamond expressed his concern that given the different approaches to processing RDF models, it might be a tricky activity.

What it does reflect, however, is a marked increase in interest in and implementation for RDF technology.
