Java gets Pyxie fever

Shawn Silverman has produced utilities to convert PYX to and from Java SAX events.

Pyxie, introduced on XML.com last week by Sean McGrath, is an alternative XML processing method based on a concise notation for XML parsing events.

Silverman's code includes SAXtoPYX, which includes a Java DocumentHandler to produce PYX, and a SAX Parser for the PYX notation. Source for both utilities can be obtained from Silverman's web site.

McGrath's work has certainly fired the imagination of the XML community: within the space of the last week, Pyxie has a toolset in C, Python, Perl and Java.
