David Megginson releases more RDF software
22:36, 14 Mar 2000 UTC | Edd Dumbill

David Megginson has announced the first alpha release of RDFFilter, a Java-based package for processing RDF documents, built with SAX2.

RDFFilter uses a callback-based interface, which means it should be much more efficient than Megginson's other RDF processor, DATAX, which builds in-memory trees.

Also bundled with the software is an RDF test suite.

The emergence of open software such as this for processing RDF will play a key role in the success of this sometimes-troubled technology.
