The Apache XML Project have released version 1.6.0 of their Xerces C++ XML parser, now level with its Java counterpart in boasting full W3C XML Schema support.

Other new features in this version include:

• New schema sample SEnumVal
• Allow users to specify schema location through method call
• Port to FreeBSD
• More bug fixes, leak fixes and performance improvement

The parser is available in source code form, and with binaries for various popular platforms.
