SOAP 1.2 needs you!
17:10, 17 Oct 2001 UTC | Edd Dumbill

Hugo Haas has announced that the XML Protocol Working Group is seeking contributions towards a collection of test cases for SOAP 1.2.

According to the W3C's Haas, the test suite has three purposes: to prove that SOAP 1.2 clearly identifies conformance requirements; to provide tests so that the terms of a Candidate Recommendation phase can be satisfied, and to promote interoperability.

Haas writes:

The W3C expects to author only a small part of the collection -- the XML Protocol Working Group counting on Member organizations and on the SOAP community to contribute the majority.

For those in the community interested in donating aid to multi-million dollar corporations, instructions for contributing are on the W3C's web site.
